Meta whistleblower Frances Haugen says that if social media is not improved, millions of people (more than 10 million) may die in the coming years. According to the news of Business Insider India, Haugen has said this to the Sunday Times. Hogan worked at Facebook until the year 2021, when he leaked a document called The Facebook Files, which was published by the Wall Street Journal. It also includes research reports and discussions among employees.
Underestimated the effects of Instagram
Citing examples in the report, the Journal said that Meta underestimated the effects of Instagram on the mental health of adolescents. Facebook helped spread religious hatred in India.
